The Minnesota Timberwolves obviously want to keep power forward Kevin Love.
Love is one of the elite players in the league and has enjoyed his time in Minnesota, but they will once again miss out on the postseason.
The Timberwolves are likely going to do whatever they can to keep Love and that likely means finding a coach he gets along with to replace Rick Adelman.
That means the Timberwolves likely won’t trade Love and will have to risk the chance that he could leave the team in free agency after the 2014-15 season.
The popular belief is that Love, who is Santa Monica, California native and attended UCLA to play for the Bruins, will jump at the chance to play for the hometown Los Angeles Lakers.
Steve Kyler of Basketball Insiders does not believe that is necessarily the case.
.@JaySway52: ---> I think WAY too much has been made about Kevin Love to the Lakers... if he is opting out , he'll look at more than LA

Love is averaging 26.0 points, 12.6 rebounds and 4.4 assists per game this season.
