In one of the least surprising moves of the draft process, the Jacksonville Jaguars are meeting with Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel on Tuesday as they try to hammer out a draft day strategy for May. While the team is widely considered to be favoring Jadeveon Clowney or Teddy Bridgewater, the Jaguars wouldn’t be doing their jobs if they passed up a meeting the potential No. 1 overall pick in the draft.
We don’t know what the Jaguars plan on doing but the very well could look at Manziel at No. 3 overall if he falls there. If such a scenario plays out — which is very possible — the Jaguars want to make sure they know what they’re passing on if the choose against drafting Manziel.
A meeting bodes well for Manziel’s chances of going No. 3 overall but it doesn’t guarantee it. Still, the Jaguars are a possibility for Manziel at No. 3 but it’s hard to gauge just how interested the Jaguars really are.
