The Tennessee Titans released their lead running back Chris Johnson creating a void in their backfield. According to comments from head coach Ken Whisenhunt, the Titans won’t address that need in the draft.

From NFL.com:

"Following the release of Chris Johnson, general manager Ruston Webster acknowledged theTennessee Titans will “definitely” look to select a running back in the 2014 NFL Draft.Titans fans shouldn’t expect that draft pick to come in the first round.Although coach Ken Whisenhunt echoed Webster’s sentiment that the backfield is a need area, he told NFL Media’s Randy Moss on Wednesday that the Titans will not select a running back at No. 11 overall."

The options at running back for the Titans right now include Shonn Greene, Dexter McCluster and Jackie Battle. Greene rushed for 295 yards on 77 carries last season, his first with the Titans after back to back 1,000 yard seasons with the Jets. The Titans could be counting on him to recapture that form.
