In a move that comes as almost no surprise, free agent center Alex Mack has signed his massive offer sheet from the Jacksonville Jaguars and has started the clock ticking on the Cleveland Browns. Mack, who was transition tagged by the Browns, has a pretty sweet deal going for him with this new offer and itβs now up to the Browns to decide if they want to match it exactly or let Mack walk to Jacksonville.
Browns transition-tagged center Alex Mack signed his five-year, $42M offer sheet that includes $26M guaranteed with the Jaguars.

Alex Mack's offer sheet with Jags that the Browns now have 5 days to match pats him $10M this season and $8M in the four season after.

The ball is now in the Browns court as they must decide within a week whether Mack is worth the offer sheet he has signed with the Jaguars. Should the Browns lose their Pro Bowl center, it would be a stain on an otherwise decent offseason of work.
Cleveland has the money but the question now is do they have the will to sign Mack?
