Josh Freeman is still searching for a new place to play football for 2014 as he continues to try and revitalize his young career, and according to Mike Freeman of Bleacher Report, that journey will take his for a visit next week with head coach Tom Coughlin and the New York Giants.
Giants starter Eli Manning underwent an arthroscopic procedure on his left ankle Thursday that will leave him out of action for the next 6-8 weeks worth of activities, however he’s not expected to miss any of the regular season.
Still, even with the threat of the ankle giving him problems this season, it’s not a bad idea to bring in another young QB like Freeman to compete with Ryan Nassib for the back up job, leaving you some good options should the worst-case scenario of Manning going down take place.
The only main question would be whether or not Freeman has fixed all of the issues that allegedly helped lead to his departure from Tampa, as well as the Vikings.
