NFL Draft Rumors: Calvin Pryor to visit New Orleans Saints, Cincinnati Bengals & New York Jets
Louisville Cardinals’ safety Calvin Pryor is considered by many to be the second best safety in the 2014 NFL Draft (and some even believe him to be better than Alabama Crimson Tide safety HaSean Clinton-Dix).
Pryor has a long list of interested teams and according to NFL.com’s Gil Brandt, he will visit with the New Orleans Saints on Monday and will see both the Cincinnati Bengals and New York Jets later in the week.
Pryor made 54 tackles, 5.5 for loss and had three interceptions last season.
At the NFL’s Scouting Combine, Pryor measured in at 5’11 and 207 pounds.
NFL.com describes Pryor as “big, physical, hammering run defender brings an enforcer mentality to the box and an intimidating, punishing presence to the back end” and “is arguably the most violent hitter in this year’s draft class and should make his presence felt readily in the pros.”
Pryor has already met with the Tennessee Titans and Chicago Bears.
