The Pittsburgh Steelers are always in the market for some solid defensive players, and on Monday, they were paid a visit by one of the top defensive end prospects in this year’s NFL Draft class, Oregon State standout Scott Crichton.

In three years for the Beavers in the Pac-12, Crichton made his mark as one of the better defensive ends in the conference, recording 165 total tackles with 51 of those for loss and 22.5 sacks.
Crichton would fit in rather well in the Dick LeBeau defense coming off the edge, so it’s not far-fetched to believe that this visit on Monday is more than just a formality, rather the veteran coach and head coach Mike Tomlin could be getting a good look to see if they would use maybe a second or third-round pick on him.
