The New York Jets made a huge free agency splash on Wednesday when they signed running back Chris Johnson to work in the backfield. Despite that, though, the team is apparently by no means done with looking to free agency to help with their offense as they’re hosting a visit with former Seahawks wide receiver Sidney Rice on Wednesday.

Rice, who has recently been cleared to play by doctors following a knee injury that caused him to miss out on the Seahawks’ Super Bowl run, has drawn reported interest from a few clubs, including the possibility that the Seahawks would be interested in re-signing him.

However the Jets provide an intriguing option, as they’re most certainly in the market for a wide receiver to get some help for new quarterback Michael Vick and their other prized free agency acquisition, wide receiver Eric Decker.

After the signing of Johnson, should Rice join the fold, we’ll be looking at an entirely new Jets offense in 2014, even more so than we already are.
