It was a dark day around the NBA Draft last year if you were a fan of the Boston Celtics. The trade that sent Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett and Jason Terry to the Brooklyn Nets devastated fans everywhere as it tore part the core of team they’d fallen in love with over the past few years.
Specifically, the loss of Pierce hurt fans the most but there may be a reunion on the horizon. According to Ben Rohrbach, the Boston Celtics are open to signing Pierce when he becomes a free agent this summer, if the price is right.
Ainge on possibility of bringing Paul Pierce back: "At the right price, right circumstance."

The price being right may not be something that happens, as the Brooklyn Nets aren’t going to just let their veteran leader go without a fight. A bidding war will not be what gets Paul Pierce back in Celtics green, but there’s a decent chance that the thought is further entertained later in the summer.
