The Baltimore Ravens are expected to have linebacker Rolando McClain re-join the team on Monday when workouts are slatted to begin. McClain, who retired from the NFL over a year ago to focus on getting his life together, was reinstated this week by the league and is eligible to re-join the Ravens. While he’s contractually picking right up where he left off, the Ravens need to decide if they want to keep him on roster or wash their hands of him right away.
His workouts this upcoming week with the Ravens will go a long way in determining how invested the team remains in McClain but it will also be our first look at a man who is rebuilding himself after a troubling start to his pro career.
