NHL Playoffs 2014, Stars at Ducks Game 2: live stream, start time, TV info and more
By Josh Sanchez
The Anaheim Ducks were able to get the early lead in their series against the Dallas Stars to get their postseason run off to a good start, but they nearly had a devastating injury when captain Ryan Getzlaf took a Tyler Seguin slapshot to the face.
Luckily for the Ducks, Getzlaf is a true gamer and he plans to suit up for Game 2 on Friday night.
“That’s why he is who he is,” Ducks coach Bruce Boudreau said. “That’s why he’s won two gold medals and a Stanley Cup and he’s not 30. He learned from the Scotty Niedermayers and the Chris Prongers that were here before him, too. He’s a battler and a gamer. It won’t look too pretty, but he’s going to be playing.”
The first team was evenly matched with both sides putting 35 shots on net, so we will have to see if the Stars can keep up the pressure and potentially steal a game on the road.
