Not only do the Indiana Pacers seem to be continuing the struggles they were enduring in the last month or two of the regular season, but they nearly received devastating news during their game 1 showdown against the Atlanta Hawks on Saturday night.

As first reported Bob Kravitz of The Indianapolis Star, the Pacers’ star swingman left the game and headed to the locker room.

George was soon diagnosed with a quad contusion and the injury does not seem to be considered serious.

The Pacers confirmed the news.

George reentered the game late in the third quarter and with the Pacers trailing by 14, they surely need George to provide some sort of spark from here on out.
