The Buffalo Bills traded for wide receiver Mike Williams earlier in the offseason, who joins Stevie Johnson and Robert Woods on the team’s roster. However, they may not be done improving their receiving corp just yet.

  • There are some doubts that Johnson is in the team’s long-term plans and Woods could be better fit in the slot, so the team is meeting with Clemson wide receiver Sammy Watkins.

Many believe that Watkins is the best receiver in the draft, which means he could be long gone by the time the Bills are on the clock at No. 9, but they will still perform due diligence and prepare for any potential scenario.

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL.com, the Bills and Watkins are meeting today.

There is a chance that the Bills could trade up to acquire Watkins if they view he can change the direction of their franchise, but they have enough needs that they may be better off if they sit back and see how the draft plays out.

If the Bills stay put at No. 9 overall, North Carolina tight end Eric Ebron is a very likely pick.
