The New York Jets went out and made a splashy move by signing Michael Vick to either back up Geno Smith or start in place of him, but that hasnāt stopped them from looking at some of the deeper round quarterbacks in this yearās NFL Draft. After bringing in Virginia Tech quarterback Logan Thomas, the Jets have similarly brought in Eastern Illinois star Jimmy Garoppolo according to ESPN.comās Rich Cimini.
This is an interesting move considering the Jets already have their quarterback situation as figured out as it can be, and adding another name to the mix seems to only complicate things. The same thing can be said about the visit they had with Logan Thomas as well.
But New York needs to get better this year and needs to get more than just solid play out of their quarterback which means if taking Garoppolo in the draft solves that problem, then so be it.
