The biggest story of the day in the NBA surrounded Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling and his racist remarks he allegedly told his girlfriend, as reported by TMZ. It’s still undetermined if the voice on the tap is actually Sterlings but if it is then we are looking at a situation in which a heavy penalty will be coming against Sterling.

As far as Sterling’s immediate standing with the team he owns, Commissioner Adam Silver noted during his press conference on Saturday night that Sterling will not be attending the Clippers playoff game tomorrow in Oakland.

This is the only move that Sterling could make and it’s going to be interesting to see if he attends any Clippers games until his name is either cleared or if further punishment comes down. Sterling owns the Clippers so it’s hard to tell him what he can and can’t do with his team but it sounds like the decision to not attend Game 4 on Sunday was his that he made and it would appear to be the best decision he’s made in a long time.
