While we’re all currently supposed to be focused on the excitement that is the NBA Playoffs, we were dealt an unwanted distraction on Friday night with the news that Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling was caught on tape delivering some off-colored racist remarks toward his girlfriend. One person in particular who was brought up was Lakers legend Magic Johnson, with Sterling saying he did not want him at any of his games.
Well, that’s okay Mr. Sterling because Johnson has no inclination–obviously–to attend anything you’re affiliated with.
.@cjbycookie and I will never go to a Clippers game again as long as Donald Sterling is the owner.

Johnson wasn’t done there as he then went on to say how bad he feels for his good friends Doc Rivers and Chris Paul having to work for a man with the beliefs of Sterling.
I feel sorry for my friends Coach Doc Rivers and Chris Paul that they have to work for a man that feels that way about African Americans.

Finally, Johnson said what we all have been thinking in the past few hours, that these events are a black eye to the entire league.
LA Clippers owner Donald Sterling's comments about African Americans are a black eye for the NBA.

This all is unfortunate, and it’s sad that something like this has to come to light during what should be the best time of the year for the NBA.
