This past weekend, TMZ Sports released a tape recording in which a man, believed to be Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling, made some very racial remarks that undoubtedly offended African Americans everywhere. However, he did single out one particular person and that was NBA Legend Magic Johnson.

In the recording where he was making these comments toward his girlfriend, he brought up Johnson because the girlfriend posted a picture on Instagram of her and the Dodgers owner which made Sterling very unhappy. So unhappy, in fact, that Sterling commented to her that he did not want Johnson at any more of his games.

Since the release of the tape over the weekend, Johnson has bee quite inviting to the media in answering any questions they might have about the matter, and he has done so gracefully, as only Magic could.

But now he wants everyone to know that he’s done talking about it and wants to just leave it in the past now.

Again, you do have to respect Johnson for how well he has been dealing with everything since the tape’s public release, and the media should now respect his wishes in just leaving this all behind where it belongs and letting the league deal with it from this point on.
