Leave it to that big dope Darren Rovell to put a buzzkilling positive spin on things for the embattled Los Angeles Clippers.

Sure, the Clippers may be losing sponsors left and right as a result of owner Donald Sterling’s racist comments. Sure, people may be experiencing tremendous satisfaction at the fact that Sterling and his team are losing tons of money.

But wait a second, says Darren Rovell. All these sponsors are jumping ship, but is it really hurting the bottom line in Los Angeles?

Thanks to TV money, not very much. As Rovell tweeted:

Rovell probably has a good point here. Losing sponsors probably hurts Sterling more symbolically than it does financially.

Still, I can’t help myself. I just want to hit Darren Rovell in the face.

Why now, Darren Rovell? Why not let us savor the sweet Schadenfreude just a little bit longer?

Why pick this time to remind us that, even with sponsors bailing on his team left and right, Donald Sterling is still a rich SOB who can tell everyone to go suck it?

Rovell just enjoys being the guy with the bucket of cold water. He just revels in that role of the Most Hated Man on Twitter.

Next Rovell will be telling us that racism is actually good for Sterling’s brand in some twisted way. Hey, what was Sterling’s name recognition before this?

Is there some way Donald Sterling can parlay being a racist dirtbag into a sweet endorsement deal? Rovell can probably find a way to make that happen.

Because Rovell sucks.
