At a time where Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling is dealing with the fallout from his racist remarks that were leaked by his girlfriend, there is another Donald who is kind of sympathizing with Sterling for the way everything came to light.

Billionaire businessman Donald Trump spoke about the situation, and says that Sterling was set up by the woman he dubs “the girlfriend from hell.”

“He got set up by a very, very bad girlfriend, let’s face it,” Trump said on “Fox & Friends.”

She’s called the girlfriend from hell, but what he said was terrible and despicable and very strong action is going to be taken. There’s no question about it. She’s a terrible human being and he gave horrible answers and disgusting answers.”

Trump is in no way endorsing Sterling’s comments and is just as appalled by them as nearly everyone who heard them, but there is no doubt that Sterling was set up and that is something Trump appears to sympathize with.

Whether or not Sterling was set up is something that the NBA will have to discuss during their investigation, but the fact remains that there is no place for those comments in the sports world.
