Thomas, a two time All-Pro was instrumental in the Seahawks winning their first Super Bowl in franchise history and the former first round pick out of Texas is widely-regarded as one of the best leaders in the NFL in addition to being the league’s top safety.
Thomas matched his career-high with five interceptions this season and a career-high 129 combined tackles.
With Thomas locked up for the foreseeable future, the focus now shifts from the best safety in the league to the best corner in the league as the team will look to extend Richard Sherman before the start of the season.
