The Los Angeles Clippers are in turmoil at the moment and it all has to do with the racist comments allegedly made by their owner, Donald Sterling. While Sterling comments show his ignorance, the NBA owners who share a league with him are ready to show their unwillingness to stand along side a racist and have started to push Adam Silver towards banishing Sterling from the NBA.

Per Adrian Wojnarowski:

"Across the league now, owners want Sterling out. They should’ve done so years ago, but understand every franchise will now pay a price for failing to remove Sterling. Finally, they’re pushing Silver to find a way. These owners are on the clock, and they know it."

While NBA owners are watching out for themselves and their product, they are also showing that their progressive club has no place for someone stuck in with a mindset straight out of the 1950s. NBA owners are far from saints, but their eagerness to get away from Sterling shows just how toxic this situation is.

It’s easier said than done to get Sterling out as Clippers owner, as a massive buyout will be needed. But Adam Silver has a big decision ahead of him and it’s clear from fans, players and now owners what needs to be done if Sterling’s voice is indeed on that tape.
