The NFL career of former Texas Longhorns quarterback Vince Young has been sad to watch as he’s seemingly threw away all of his potential — as well as all of his money — in a short amount of time. It was less than a decade ago that Young was making that miraculous run at the Rose Bowl and today he’s begging for work at the pro level.
It appears that a fifth team in the league has come around to see if Young has anything left as the Cleveland Browns are set to give Young a tryout at minicamp.
"NFL sources told FOX 26 Sports free agent quarterback Vince Young will take a physical today with the Cleveland Browns and work out with the team during this week’s mini camp with hopes of landing a contract."
Young started his career with the Tennessee Titans but after falling out with them he bounced from the Philadelphia Eagle to the Buffalo Bills and spent a preseason stint with the Green Bay Packers last year. After shamelessly begging for work on Twitter, Young has secured nothing more than a workout with the quarterback needy Browns and there is hope that he can finally catch on and at least be a career backup somewhere in the NFL.
