On Monday night, the San Antonio Spurs held off a furious rally from the Dallas Mavericks that saw them erase a 20-point lead and take a one-point lead in the final minutes, to earn a 93-89 victory and even their first playoff series at two games apiece.

One of the key plays of the game came with just over three minutes to go. With the Mavericks nursing a three-point lead, Spurs’ center Tiago Splitter tried to make a move towards the basket with Mavericks’ big man DeJuan Blair covering him. Splitter ran into Blair and lost the ball and Blair was called for a foul.

Blair saw the call and then kicked Splitter, hitting him in the right said of his head (you can see the GIF of the play here).

Blair was ejected from the game.

On Tuesday, the NBA announced the Blair would be suspended for one game, meaning he’ll miss a crucial game 5 in San Antonio Wednesday night.
