Fantasy Baseball: Matt Garza Leaves Start, Several Games Rained Out
By Mike Marteny
Milwaukee Brewers RHP Matt Garza left his start today against the St Louis Cardinals after three innings with a thumb contusion. Garza gave up five runs on five hits, with four walks and four strikeouts. He also ended up losing the game, so it was bad news for Garza owners all around. His next scheduled start is on Monday against the Arizona Diamondbacks. He is tentatively scheduled to make that start, but make sure you check his status leading up to that game if you are a Garza owner. He might even be worth a look as a streaming option in that game if his thumb is good to go.

Most of the eastern half of the country is still under the deluge that started yesterday. This has resulted in many rainouts across baseball already today. Fortunately, we don’t have it as bad as Pensacola, Florida, but this still wreaks havoc on your fantasy lineups.
The Rays at Red Sox game has been called off. The two teams will play a doubleheader tomorrow.
The Mets at Phillies has also been postponed, and will be made up on June 2nd.
The Mariners at Yankees is also rained out. This game will also be made up on June 2nd.
For the second straight day, the Pirates at Orioles has also been rained out. The two teams will play a doubleheader tomorrow. For those of you keeping score at home, that is three doubleheaders on tap for tomorrow! Those of you in daily leagues should load up on those players!
Unfortunately, there were a couple of afternoon games, making it hard to field a good lineup since you can’t pick anyone up off of waivers. You still have time to get in there and put in everyone that has NOT been rained out yet. Those of you that play in daily leagues are probably best served not playing at all today. Four games are postponed, and there are more that will be under the threat of rainy weather.
Stay tuned to Fantasy CPR for all the latest news and how it will affect your lineup!
