The Los Angeles Lakers have inevitably parted ways with Mike D’Antoni and that means they’re now one of the top jobs in the league when it comes to coaches looking for work. One coach who isn’t necessarily looking for work but who could fill the position for the Lakers is UCOnn head coach Kevin Ollie.
According to Adrian Wojnarowski, Ollie could end up being an option for the team moving forward.
Possible there won't be a superstar coach available to Lakers, but there's a hometown kid on fast-track to become one: UConn's Kevin Ollie.

The thought was that Ollie would come to the NBA in a few years and he’s really expressed no desire to leave UConn. When the Huskies won the National Championship, it was pointed out how well liked and respected Ollie is in the NBA and that his pro coaching days were not too far in the future.
Still, the immediate future seems a little soon for Ollie to want to leave UConn and let’s not forget that the Lakers job isn’t what it used to be.
