
With less than a week to go until the NFL Draft gets underway in New York City, former consensus number one pick, Louisiville quarterback Teddy Bridgewater, has seen his stock take a massive hit to the point where some are now saying that he shouldn’t be taken in the first round.
Whether it’s all just a smokescreen or not, this apparent decline in reputation for Bridgewater had former QB Boomer Esiason reflecting on his draft year back in 1984. Esiason, speaking for SI.com, compared his slide on draft day to that of what Bridgewater may experience come next week.
Esiason also leaves Bridgewater with some parting advice ahead of the draft. You can hear his thoughts in the video below.
