The ongoing trainwreck that is Donald Sterling is about to get even uglier as the banned Los Angeles Clippers owner tells DuJour Magazine that he should have paid off his alleged “girlfriend” V. Stiviano who recorded his racist comments that resulted in the NBA fining him $2.5 million and banning him for life from the NBA.

Sterling is being forced to sell the franchise, but is fighting the as he awaits the NBA taking legal action against him.

His estranged wife is hoping the franchise can remain in the family with his son taking over and Sterling is prepared to fight the sale of the franchise he has owned for more than 30 years.

This is going to drag out in to a three-ring circus and serve as a distraction from the playoffs. Today, Charles Barkley even said the NBA players won’t play if Sterling is still the owner by the start of next season.

This is a huge embarrassment for the league no matter how much praise was heaped toward NBA commissioner Adam Silver for the unprecedented disciplinary action earlier this week and Sterling is still finding ways to give the league a black eye.
