Since a poor performance at his Pro Day, Louisville quarterback Teddy Bridgewater has been plummeting down draft boards and now there is even some doubt that he will be selected in the first round of next week’s draft.
While Bridgewater understands his Pro Day was not as great as it could have been, he urges everyone to check out his game tape to see how good of a player he really is.
“Put on the game tape. The game tape speaks volumes because I’m in live action, I’m out there making reads, going through progressions, redirection protection, signaling hot routes, getting the offense in and out of the right play. Looking at those things, I think those things outweigh the Pro Day,” Bridgewater told ESPN’s Trey Wingo.
Watching game tape would be a simple solution, where everyone can see Bridgewater is more than capable of becoming a starter at the next level — and a very good one at that.
Unfortunately for Bridgewater, no one is providing details on what they don’t like about his skill set so we will be left wondering. The good news is he can prove all of his doubters wrong when he suits up for his team this season.
