Former Florida State Seminoles defensive tackle Timmy Jernigan has been highly regarded for the past few months as a potential first round pick this Thursday when the NFL Draft gets underway. A lot of folks see Jernigan as a great fit for the Chicago Bears and their defensive scheme.
Although if new reports from Fox Sports’ Jay Glazer are correct, there might be a character issue that could sour some teams as he reportedly failed a drug test this past February at the NFL Scouting Combine.
On the @FOXSports1 ticker right now: @JayGlazer reporting FSU DT Timmy Jernigan is among those who failed a drug test at scouting combine.

Following this news, Glazer’s colleague, Mike Garafolo, tried to get in touch with Jernigan’s agent to gather some information, although that request was ultimately denied.
I spoke to Jernigan's agent today. Declined comment. @JayGlazer also reporting what @ProFootballTalk said: Diluted sample for Mettenberger.

In Florida State’s march toward the national championship last season, Jernigan was a huge part of that top-ranked Seminoles defense in the inside, recording 63 total tackles, including 11 for loss, with 4.5 sacks.
