The NFL Draft is tomorrow which means we have plenty of trade talk going on at the moment and plenty of 11th hour smokescreens being put up. It’s always hard to tell who is putting up a smokescreen and who is being blatantly honest about their draft plans, but that’s what makes crunch time in the NFL Draft so fun from year to year.

One team who has been very open about their possible moves are the Cleveland Browns. Not only have the Browns recently become linked to Teddy Bridgewater but they’ve started to make it known they’ll take him at No. 26 if he’s there.

Pro Football Talk is calling B.S. though, and ponders whether or not Ray Farmer is actually interested in Bridgewater or is just putting up a smokescreen.

Per Mike Florio:

"It could be that Farmer hopes someone who covets Bridgewater leapfrogs the Browns at No. 26, taking the former Louisville quarterback and leaving on the board someone in whom the Browns are genuinely interested."

One thing this tells us is that the Browns are not looking to go quarterback with the No. 4 overall pick. If they do, whatever smokescreen that may be going up will dissipate. It’s possible that the Browns are interested in Bridgewater but we won’t know what is really going on until both of the Browns picks are in.
