The Houston Texans have the No. 1 overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft and have reportedly considered trading down in the draft. There price tag is currently pretty hefty, but as the draft approaches they might lower there asking price.

If they wanted to trade down they could find a partner in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at No. 7. The Bucs would presumably take Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel and the Texans would then take Blake Bortles with that pick. If they wanted to get really aggressive, they could take advantage of Dallas Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones and his inconsistent nature. They could offer their No. 1 overall pick for Cowboys starting quarterback Tony Romo and their No. 16 pick, maybe some mid-round pick as well.

If the Texans stay put at No. 1, and draft a defensive player, they could get aggressive and try to trade back into the first round from their 33rd overall pick. They’d presumably go after a quarterback falling in the draft, which many see potentially happening.
