The Washington Redskins would have the second overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, but they shipped that off to St. Louis when they traded up to get quarterback Robert Griffin III. So far that move has been worthwhile, in two seasons RG3 has led the Redskins to an NFC East title and a playoff appearance, last season was a down year as he tried to comeback from an injury.

So the Redskins only have the second pick in rounds two through seven, not a whole lot to work with. If the Redskins wanted to make some noise, they could try and trade up from that 34th overall pick into the first round. They could go after a cornerback, like Michigan State cornerback Darqueze Dennard to put opposite DeAngelo Hall.

After bringing in wide receiver DeSean Jackson and having a solid running back in Alfred Morris, the defensive side of the ball is likely to be the focus for the Redskins.
