NBA Playoffs 2014: Russell Westbrook buries a 3, goes crazy (GIF)
The Oklahoma City Thunder entered Wednesday night’s game 2 against the Los Angeles Clippers with a hint of desperation, looking not only to celebrate star forward Kevin Durant’s MVP award, but more importantly, to even their first round series with the Los Angeles Clippers.
The Clippers dominated the Thunder 122-105 in game 1 so the Thunder clearly can not afford to head out to Los Angeles in an 0-2 hole.
The Thunder took control of the game in the fourth quarter. Nursing a 68-64 lead, they staged a 25-9 run, including an 11-0 run that gave them a 93-73 lead. After they extended the lead to 14 and made another stop, Russell Westbrook came off of a screen and buried home a three-pointer right in front of the Clippers’ bench that pushed the lead to 17. As Westbrook headed back down the court, he let his emotions show, screaming to both himself and to the crowd.
