The Chicago Bears likely had their sights set on defensive tackle Aaron Donald from Pittsburgh, but the St. Louis Rams took him in the spot just ahead of the Bears. That left the Bears to find their back up plan and they selected Virginia Tech Hokies cornerback Kyle Fuller with the No. 14 overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft.
The pick was met with some mixed response in Radio City Music Hall, and there were some reports that the Pittsburgh Steelers liked Fuller with their No. 15 pick. Fuller joins a Bears team known for their defense and he could have an immediate impact in their defense.
