The 2014 NFL Draft was speeding right along, and the Detroit Lions were on the clock with the No. 10 overall pick. The team was hoping to land one of the top wide receivers in this year’s draft to give Matthew Stafford more help, but with both off of the board they needed to look in another direction.

When the pick was officially announced, the Lions selected North Carolina tight end Eric Ebron.
