The Chicago Bears are in desperate need of help on the defensive side of the ball, which has led to the team being linked to players like Louisville safety Calvin Pryor, Michigan State cornerback Darqueze Dennard and Pittsburgh defensive tackle Aaron Donald.

However, there will be another player in the mix if the team’s top targets are no longer available.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter on the network’s pre-draft show, Florida State defensive tackle Timmy Jernigan will be “in the mix.”

Jernigan is a defensive tackle with a quick first step that will be able to generate some pressure along the Bears interior front, and he would be a perfect replacement for Henry Melton who joined the Dallas Cowboys in free agency.
