The Los Angeles Clippers need to find an owner and work out the Donald Sterling mess sooner rather than later and that means the NBA needs to step in and act fast to insert new leadership.
Free agents and current players are still uneasy about the Sterling name being attached to the team and that could lead to departures of players and free agents avoiding the team. One player who won’t be so quick to judge the Clippers based on their owner is Jamal Crawford, as the Sixth Man of the Year noted as long as Doc Rivers is head coach, the Clippers are his team.
Crawford on if ownership will influence want to be here:"As long as I’m with this group of guys and Doc leading us, that’ll work itself out"

This seems to further prove the point that Doc Rivers is and will forever be the most powerful person in the Clippers organization. He is keeping this team together and it’s Rivers who will help keep the team afloat moving forward.
