The Oakland Raiders didn’t seem particularly interested in drafting a quarterback with the fifth-overall pick in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft on Thursday night.
Instead, they opted for Buffalo Bulls’ outside linebacker Khalil Mack, a move that has been greeted with a lot of positive reactions.
Although they acquired Matt Schaub from the Houston Texans, getting a young quarterback is obviously still a need and the Raiders could address the position with the fourth pick of the second round Friday night.
In fact, according to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, former Fresno State Bulldog Derek Carr, who is still available, is the top quarterback on the Raiders’ board.
Derek Carr is the No. 1 QB on the Raiders' board, per @RapSheet on "2014 NFL Draft Kickoff."

Jerry McDonald of The San Jose Mercury News believes Carr could be the pick at 36 for the Raiders.
"There have been unconfirmed reports of the Raiders having a serious interest in Carr to the point where there was speculation he could be targeted if they had moved back in the first round."
Carr completed 453 of 659 passes for 5,082 yards with 50 touchdowns and eight interceptions.
