The Houston Texans got the first round of the NFL Draft started quickly on Friday when they selected Jadeveon Clowney to bookend J.J. Watt on the defensive line to create the most destructive defensive end tandem in the NFL. In the second round, though, could the team be looking to beef the defense up even more –literally — on the inside?

According to Albert Breer, while the Texans are fielding trade calls from teams in regards to that first pick in the second round coming up on Friday night, there is a chance that instead of taking a QB like many expect them to, they could look in the direction of Notre Dame DT Louis Nix.

The 6-3, 357-pounder is absolutely a fit for what defensive coordinator Romeo Crennel is looking to do with that 3-4. With the selection of Clowney, teams in the AFC South have very little chance to make much happen on the outside, and plugging Nix in the middle completes the entire package. That’s also not to mention the talented linebackers behind them, led by Brian Cushing.
