The Golden State Warriors canned head coach Mark Jackson last week and the hunt to find a replacement is well underway. There have been a slew of names mentioned in connection to the job but it appears we have our first official interview lined up for next week as former Memphis Grizzlies coach Lionel Hollins will be interviewing for the job during the pre-draft camp in Chicago.

Hollins is a guy high on a lot of lists in the NBA and it was a surprise that he didn’t get a job last year after the Grizzlies fired in him similar fashion to how Mark Jackson was let go after a winning season.
There have been rumblings that Hollins could fit in Detroit with the Pistons, but it sounds like the Warriors are getting a good crack at him next week and we’ll see if that means an abrupt end to their coaching search.
