List of Carolina Panthers 2014 NFL Draft Picks
By Mike Dyce
The Carolina Panthers needed to bring in some wide receivers for quarterback Cam Newton after the departures of Brandon LaFell and Steve Smith. They addressed that need with their first round pick, the 28th overall, on Florida State wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin.
That was the only wide receiver they took somewhat surprisingly considering how deep the class was. In the second round they went to the other side of the ball drafting Missouri defensive end Kony Ealy. They went back to an offensive skill position in their sixth round pick drafting Stanford running back Tyler Gaffney.
