Every year the San Diego Chargers seem oh so close to getting to the top of the AFC West, they’re just missing some pieces. Well, they took a big step into filling some of those holes this weekend with their selections in the 2014 NFL Draft.

With the AFC West having Peyton Manning, every other team is out to stop the Broncos and you could see that is the focus of the Chargers as they took CB Jason Verrett with their first selection on Thursday night. The Seahawks showed how to beat the Broncos, and the Chargers are trying to follow that model of great DB play.
