List of Tennessee Titans 2014 NFL Draft Picks
By Jack Crosby
The Tennessee Titans aren’t considered much of a threat in the AFC South at the moment, however they’re hoping to change that with new head coach Ken Whisenhunt as well as by having a monster NFL Draft this weekend.
Well, with the draft now over for the Titans, here’s a look at who Whisenhunt and the team selected as the potential future of their franchise and the pieces to help them get back to the playoffs.
Rd 1 – #11(11) | Taylor Lewan (OT) Michigan |
Rd 2 – #22(54) | Bishop Sankey (RB) Washington |
Rd 4 – #12(112) | DaQuan Jones (DT) Penn State |
Rd 4 – #22(122) | Marqueston Huff (CB) Wyoming |
Rd 5 – #11(151) | Avery Williamson (ILB) Kentucky |
Rd 6 – #2(178) | Zach Mettenberger (QB) LSU |
Now doubt going out in the first round and getting themselves a big offensive tackle in Taylor Lewan from Michigan was a tremendous move as everything begins and ends with the line play.
Then they went out a got what they hope will be a viable replacement for Chris Johnson in the form of Bishop Sankey.
Finally, they made their biggest splash in the sixth round when they selected Zach Mettenberger, which could signal the end of Jake Locker in Tennessee.
