The Atlanta Hawks were the big surprise of the postseason.

Despite playing without their best player, All-Star big man Al Horford and finishing 38-44 during the regular season, they pushed the top-seeded Indiana Pacers to seven games without ever trailing in the series before losing the final two games and being eliminated from the postseason.

A couple of players who the casual fan was probably not all that familiar with, power forward Paul Millsap and point guard Jeff Teague were the two biggest reasons for their success.

According to Sam Amico of Fox Sports Ohio, free agents are very interested in joining the Hawks in the offseason.

Of course, that doesn’t mean the likes of LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony or Chris Bosh are lining up to join the Hawks, but players on a tier or two below the upper echelon could be interested and that may be enough to push the Hawks beyond the first round.
