In the fourth round of the 2014 NFL Draft on Saturday, head coach Andy Reid and the Kansas City Chiefs looked to get some speed on their growing offense with the selection of former Oregon RB/WR/KR/PR/Everything, De’Anthony Thomas.

Thomas was one of the more electrifying players in all of college football the last three years while playing multiple roles in the Chip Kelly offense his first two years on campus and for Mark Helfrich last year after Kelly went to the NFL.

Over the three-year span, Thomas finished up with 1,890 yards rushing with 26 touchdowns, 113 catches for 1,296 yards and 15 touchdowns. In the special teams area, Thomas returned for kickoffs for touchdowns and one punt.

As you can see, if you didn’t know already, Thomas will be able to do whatever Reid and the coaching staff want him to do and he’ll do it with a smile on his face because he’s a great young man.

Mainly in the NFL, he’ll more than likely see most of his time in the backfield either with Jamaal Charles, or spelling him, with Reid splitting him out into the slot at times.
