As is the case every year, once the draft comes to an end, there are many players still looking for a home. Usually, those undrafted players quickly sign with a team and get ready to go to work. Often times it is better for a player to go undrafted instead of getting picked in the final round. Players can assess their situation and see if a team has a need at their position or has shown a lot of interest in them. In some cases, players simply choose to stay closer to home.
According to Adam Caplan of ESPN’s NFL Insiders and SiriusXM Radio, Shaw has inked with the Cleveland Browns.
This is one of the best situations an undrafted free agent like Shaw can step into. The Browns already had a need at wide receiver and if their top receiver, Josh Gordon, is suspended for the entire season, which he may be, Shaw has a great chance of making the team.
Shaw had 933 yards and six touchdowns on 54 receptions for the Seminoles last season.
