Panthers ‘very disappointed’ about Greg Hardy charges

Carolina Panthers defensive end Greg Hardy has found himself in a bit of hot water after an incident early Tuesday morning. According to warrants filed Tuesday by Charlotte-Mecklenburg police, Hardy faces misdemeanor charges of communicating threats and assault on a female.
The Carolina Panthers released a statement on the situation following Hardy turning himself into police.
“We are very disappointed to learn of the allegations involving Greg and are concerned for all parties as we continue to investigate,” the Panthers said in a statement to the Charlotte Observer.
According to the Charlotte Observer, a woman claiming to be in a relationship with him since last September is claiming she was physically assaulted and threatened. Not a good look for someone playing under a franchise tag and looking to secure a long-term contract.
