Erin Andrews has managed to tick off the nation of Canada, or at least the part of it that follows her on Twitter.
Canucks have their fur underwear in a bunch after Andrews’ use of a slang term for clothing that many in our friendly neighboring country to the north find derogatory and humiliating.
Two nights ago on DWTS, host Andrews made a crack about the outfits worn by contestant Meryl Davis and her partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy, referring to their costumes as “Canadian tuxedos.”
A Canadian tuxedo, Urban Dictionary tells us, is “An outfit consisting of a denim jacket and demin jeans. To spice up the outfit a button down demin shirt may be worn.”
Canadians took offense to Andrews’ crack and went after her on Twitter. Andrews finally noticed Wednesday night and went on the defensive.

So Andrews is going with the old “I have a Canadian boyfriend so it’s okay for me to make fun of Canada” defense. Really weak Erin.
Clearly, this is yet another case of an American celebrity having no respect for Canada. Why do Americans think they can say anything they want about Canada and get away with it?
Canadians have feelings too. Let’s not forget that. Sure, they may be unable to cry due to their tear ducts being frozen shut, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t weeping on the inside.
Erin Andrews is pretty insensitive and I think she should have to apologize to Canada. Rob Ford says he is willing to come down and get the apology in person. He will gladly meet Erin in the alley behind the In-and-Out of her choice, oh and Erin don’t forget to bring the crack.
