In what comes as no surprise to any NBA fan (or anyone who even casually watches, really), the Oklahoma City Thunder and San Antonio Spurs have advanced to the Western Conference Finals.
It took seven games for the Spurs to dispose of the Dallas Mavericks in the first round, but they then made quick work of the Portland Trail Blazers a round later, completing a “Gentlemen’s Sweep,” winning the series in five games (losing game four). The Thunder were also pushed to the brink by the Memphis in the first round before ultimately winning in seven games. They then defeated the Los Angeles Clippers in six games.
