
Veteran point guard Mo Williams was a nice influence on the young Portland Trail Blazers this season, helping them advance to the second round of the playoffs. The Blazers obviously would like Williams to return, but that could be difficult.
Joe Freeman of The Oregonian reports that Williams is going to opt out of the final year of his contract and is looking for a three-year deal.

Mike Tokito of The Oregonian adds that Williams wants a multi-year deal because he knows it is probably his last chance to get one.

Williams averaged 9.7 points, 4.3 assists and 2.1 rebounds per game last season.
